Michael Bogenschutz

Dr. Bogenschutz is a Professor of Psychiatry at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and Director of the NYU Langone Center for Psychedelic Medicine. He conducts clinical research involving both pharmacologic and psychosocial treatments for substance use disorders and other mental health conditions. His current focus is on understanding the effects of psychedelics and related compounds, including their risks, therapeutic effects, and mechanisms of action, with attention to how patient characteristics, the psychosocial treatment platform, and other contextual factors affect treatment outcomes.
