Patricia Pisters is professor of Film and Media Culture at the department of Media Studies of the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She is board member of the OPEN foundation. Publications include The Neuro-Image: A Deleuzian Film-Philosophy for Digital Screen Culture(2012), Filming for the Future: The Work of Louis van Gasteren (2016) and New Blood: Women Directors and Contemporary Horror Cinema (2019).
