Samuli Kangaslampi
Samuli Kangaslampi, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and researcher in clinical and cognitive psychology. He is a founding member and current chairperson of the Finnish Association for Psychedelic Research, as well as member of board of the Finnish Psychotrauma Society.His Doctoral dissertation concerned mechanisms of change involved in the treatment of posttraumatic stress symptoms by psychological interventions. He continues to be active in the field of psychotraumatology and PTSD, but has also published on developmental issues from infants to adolescents, the psychological impact of war and refugeedom, autobiographical memory, as well as psychedelics and mystical experiences.He is currently employed as University Instructor at Tampere University, Finland, teaching clinical psychology to future psychologists and supervising thesis work at all levels. For 2023, he will be conducting postdoctoral research at Maastricht University, focusing on the cognitive effects of psychedelics and MDMA.
